Dr. Shindler is great. He gives above and beyond in caring for his patients. As an example, over a holiday weekend, and while he was on vacation, I suffered a tooth mishap. I called his exchange hoping to set up an appointment upon his return. I was extremely surprised that a few hours later, I received a call from Dr. Shindler agreeing to see me the next day (Sunday). I would like to share my experience with the office of Dr. Shindler. This review is just for my experience with the front desk manager, Beverly. I would like to note that the dental hygienist and Dr. Shindler himself was very kind and helpful. I booked an appointment online where I pressed on the website directly from Google. From there, I was taken to Zocdoc to book my appointment. At this time, I was unaware that Zocdoc was a third party. While booking the appointment, I inputed my insurance information to make sure this appointment was covered. The website stated this office was in network, which was the whole reason I booked here. After making the reservation, I received a text from the office to confirm my insurance. I sent over my insurance again. When I got to the office, I specifically asked Beverly if everything was ok with my insurance and she stated yes. I was never informed that this office was out of network and I would be expected to pay. After the cleaning was completed, I go to the front to check out with Beverly. She states that I owe over $400 for a cleaning. I explain to her that it stated my insurance was in network, and I receive two free cleanings a year. Immediately, she states she is going to send me to collections and starts to fold up an envelope with a stamp. At that point, I told her to bill my insurance and I left the office. Shortly after I got home, I received texts in an extremely rude manner, which I’ve uploaded to this review. She was stating that there were signs posted regarding Delta and I should’ve seen them. If these signs were posted, I’m unsure why she wouldn’t point them out or explain the process prior to receiving any services. I ended up receiving payment from my insurance, which I am sending over to the office and they are getting paid in full. After the way I was treated, especially working in customer service myself, I would not recommend this dentist to anybody.
